For the historic Centennial Celebration of Black Wall Street, this publication accompanied a curated series of special events, conversations, and tours that allowed residents and visitors to intimately experience the historic, present, and future of Greenwood, Oklahoma’s Black community.

The book sought to uplift a fuller history, before, during, and after of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Archival photography, recorded accounts from survivors, their living ancestors and historical data helped honor those lost while advocating for racial justice, equity, and reparations in Greenwood today.
